This last Wednesday night we had a late night thunderstorm. This caused a power outage at our school from around 2:30am till about 7:10am. Our chick eggs are in an incubator and were without heat for an extended amount of time. It is important that our incubator stay at 99 to 101 degrees for the full 21 days of the chick life cycle. We will be receiving new chick eggs soon and will begin the process of documenting and observing again. We will update again when our eggs arrive!

Today is day 8.  My down feathers are beginning to form and I continue to gain weight.  I weigh a little over a full gram now!
